what it is, what it was
So, this was a blog where I was working on a book. I thought I’d write it online so I could work on it anywhere on any PC, and I still am. I moved it to a different URL, so I could use this one to just be my general blog for rants, raves and other things that don’t fit my other blogs.
Why so many blogs? This cut ‘n paste from my MySpace blog is my explanation, more or less.
Clouds are everywhere. The rain is falling. It’s a cold rain, the kind that chills your bones and makes your pockets soggy. The distant sound of thunder can be heard, and the lightning flashes might or might not be there. They flash so fast these days. I am outside in this storm, but I have no need for an umbrella, even Rihanna’s “Umbrella”. Nope, I’m outside, and I’m walking forward, with my fists clenched and a s**t-eating grin (seriously, who came up with that term? ewww). I’m not alone of course. I have a beautiful and loving wife, and a great family, and the best friends I could imagine, not to mention a future baby to be named later (seriously, the naming thing alone will take nine months). Still, this is a walk I make alone, by choice, by destiny, by any means necessary. Will the rain stop before I do? That is the question. In the past, the rain falls and eventually I would stop as well, seeking shelter under a tree, going indoors, or just stopping to get damp for no reason. Now, I’m walking forward, and I’ll be damned if the rain is going to win now. Rain, listen up. I own your ass now. I won’t stop walking, so you’re not falling on me, I’m keeping you from touching the ground where I walk, even if for an instant. Those instances are small victories, and they add up.
Is it the Vault Zero talking?
Perhaps, but perhaps not.
I think I’ve discovered something inside me. Not an alien or parasite or anything like that.
I’d explain, but I reserve the right not to.
So there.
*tthhhhpppppptttt*
Bring on baseball.
Bring on new SNLs for the next three weeks.
Bring on the last few Terminators before FOX axes the show.
Bring on the bland music that will surge up the charts for no reason.
Bring it all.
Don’t worry. I’m bringing something too. Will it float? Will it blend Will it fail?
I don’t know, but the fun will be in finding out.
